Bethany Chapman

Board Treasurer, Finance Committee

Bethany, a native of Overland Park, Kansas, is a happy transplant to Athens, Georgia. Bethany earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Taylor University and started her career as a CPA in KPMG’s audit practice. She worked in five different KPMG offices during her time with the firm and focused on the Not for Profit practice area. Bethany left public accounting to be a full-time mom and delighted in focusing on her two boys, Samuel and Josiah, when they were young. Bethany returned to school and earned an MBA from the University of Georgia and is now a Lecturer in Accounting at UGA. Her husband, Nathan, has been a professor at UGA Law School for nearly a decade.

 Bethany and her family love hiking, exploring the north Georgia and North Carolina mountains, and cheering for the UGA Bulldogs.
